In this unit, students choose one confusing place in their school and think about how different people experience it. They watch the place in action and make a math decision about the shape and size of a sign that could help.
As students work toward the culminating performance task, they design and build a sign or label that works for readers and non-readers alike. Students test their sign with a real person, watch what happens, and revise based on what they observe.
