In this unit, students think about what makes games fun and fair for everyone, especially on rainy or snowy days when indoor recess happens often. They explore how games can help people feel included and build shared vocabulary around game design.
As students work toward the culminating performance task, they work with a partner or small group to design, name, and build a brand-new game, testing it with others and revising when something is not working or does not feel fair. Students complete a Game Book and teach others how to play as part of a celebration of their work as game designers.
