In this unit, students become data detectives. They notice that different people see different problems in their school or community, choose one place that seems to need help, and write a survey question to collect data from classmates and family members.
As students work toward the culminating performance task, they build a labeled graph from their data and compare categories to see which has more or less. Students use their data to explain why their problem should be solved first, revise with feedback, and share their case with real listeners.
